I don't understand the behaviour of the Email forward feature in ISPConfig3.
After creating a mailbox for an emailaddress, i want to forward the incoming mail for that mailbox to an e-mailaddress elsewhere.
I also want is to keep a copy in the mailbox as well.

If i use the Email forward feature the message occurs: "There is already a mailbox with this email address".
So what i did, i removed the mailbox and tried the forward feature again. This time i was succesful. The forward was created.
But this is not what i want. I want to have a mailbox as well, so i can keep a copy of the incoming mail.

Is that possible in ISPConfig3 on the moment and if so, what do i need to do?

This thread is very old, but it applies to me.

I tried using th email forwarding feature, and it gave me the same reply:
"There is already a mailbox with this email address".

I want a copy sent to the other email, and keep the original in the main email box.

I tried using the custom coding, as per the examples:
    cc "[email protected]"

The email is received by the main email, but not forwarded. I did install dovecot, so according to a comment made, this is the right formatting.

Thanks for any ideas to make this work.

The thread you responded to is completely outdated, so nothing in here applies to your server if you use a recent ISPConfig version.

Do not add an email forward as what you want is not a forward and a forward cannot be added when you want to have a mailbox. According to your description, you want to send a copy of an email that arrives in a mailbox to another mailbox. This is done by entering the second email address into the "Send copy to" field of the mailbox, that's all.
