    Hi,

Sorry for the double post, I realised this should be posted in here after I posted in another section.

To be honest I'm not sure whats happened to my pop3 server. I can't even figure out if it is existant. I have tried to login via the webmail and also from a mail client.

It also shows as offline in ISPconfig. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to fix this.

Here is some info that may help (I have read another thread on here but that didn't help me, I saw the requested data on that thread and thought I would supply mine here)

    Code:
    root@server1:~# ls -l /etc/init.d/

    1) Which pop3 daemon do you have installed?
    2) Did you follow exactly the perfect setup guide for your linux distribution?

I thought I had followed it correctly so went and found the apt-get install snipet with the pop3 daemon and rerun it - somehow it had missed 2 packages. I suspect it was my copy and paste. Thanks for your help.

Did you install Courier, and if so, is it started?
