so i returned to my snapshot in vmware before i starts the upgrade process.

    now my question:
how i can upgrade to the newest version? what i made wrong? whats the correct way?

i want upgrade to the newest operating system debian...

    any expirience?

    thanks

    many greets,

The guide is fine, I used it on many servers. there was just one final step missing, you have to download the ispconfig tar.gz again and run the update.php scrit in its install folder and choose to reconfigure services, so that ispconfig can write new config files for the new dovecot version.

    yes.

did you run a ispconfig update afterwards and let the ispconfig update script reconfigure all services?

    Hello Till,

    i have done exactly this:
    http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-upgrade-debian-squeeze-to-wheezy

i only worked with apt-get (not with aptitude)!

after the upgrade process are finished,
i downloadet ispconfig3 tar gz and executes php update.php

in the middle of the update progress, i get the error picture update1

after that i reboot the server, i get the error (picture system-booting).

now, i have tried do connect to the ispconfig admin panel, then i get the error picture update2...

what shall i do? what i have done wrong? :(

    i dont know...

    many greets, iceget

The postfix errors are uncritcal, just remove the line mentioned in the error message from master.cf file.

Regarding apache, go trough the perfect server guide for wheezy and execute all commands from the apache install chapter(s) to ensure that no packages are missing. It might be that a few additional packages are required.

Thats the way I upgraded my servers as well.

Seems to be a problem with suexec or with php-cgi in general. Do you get this error on all sites, or just on the ispconfig interface?
