I'm still on version '2.2.0' with PHP 5.1.2

The system is running fine for me! Should I update to 2.2.3, or leave it as is?

I think it is not nescessary to update. There are no security fixes in ISPConfig. But I'am not sure if there are security related bugs in php 5.1.2, maybe you shall check the PHP release notes on php.net.

    Update:
    -------

I just read the relaese notes again. I think you better upgrade. There are some security fixes in the included ClamAV 0.88.2. that comes with ISPConfig 2.2.2 and of course 2.2.3 too :)

Wow, you guys have definitely tweaked the upgrade process since 2.2.0. I was amazed to see that I didn't have to enter anything in except for the SSL stuff. Way to go.

Also...shouldn't this be a sticky thread?

    Hi,

After upgraing all my custom settings from config.inc.php was lost.

Is ti right? Should I every upgrade edit config.inc.php?

    Best regards,
    MvincM

Yes, currently this is nescessary as the updater died not read custom settings except the database connection during upgrade.

The best solution for the moment is to make a backup copy of config.inc.php and copy it back after the upgrade. You might want to check though, if any new config settings where introduced in the new version.

    hi

i would like to know if the upgrade from 222 to 223 also includes sanity-checks to modified files (libs) and templates .. it would be nice to implement a check on md5sum for every file before overwriting .. and a diff-dialouge

    thnks for this great product

    love

No, ISPConfig overwrites your customized files, so you better do a backup of those files before you update.

Such a feature is not implemented in the installer.

By the way, all changes are listed in the changelogs. Links to the chnagelogs can be found here:

    using 2.1.2 version yet

I'm using version 2.1.2 version on a FC4 production server. Are there any special recommendations before upgrading to the new version? Is there any upgrading guide somewhere to follow as the perfect setup guide?

    Thanks for your help.
