    Hello,
I'm trying to build the high speed back end for a Nextcloud 21 instance that recommends php 8. Is there an approved way to install php 8 as an additional version?

ISPConfig autoinstaller installs all PHP versions, including PHP 8.0.
To add the additional PHP versions, the tutorial works also for PHP 8.0.

Thank you. I'm having difficulty finding that tutorial. Does the auto installer also work with established ISPConfig systems?

Unfortunately no, it does not. It is meant for new system only, for now.

Thank you Taleman and Ahrahsis. I'm upgrading an established ISPConfig3 server already working well with websites and data. On HowtoForge I came across a reference that it is now preferable to install php via packages rather than by compiling it. I've now installed php 8 and associated php-fpm and dependencies using apt. My cghallenge of the moment is how to get ISPCOnfig to recognise it?
