Is ispConfig a name server by default.

For instance if I setup a domain name, can I set the NS records for the domain to point to the ispConfig IP address and then the website will display?

I want to use this as an ISP DNS server and web hosting server.

So I asked my domain register to setup and and point them to 2x seperte IP.
The is pointing to one of the 5x IP that I gave to ispConfig.

But what I want to know is have I dont this correct?
What extra steps are needed to make to work?
Can my DSL customers use my DNS servers in their connection for domain resolution?
Can I lock the DNS so only my IP range can access it?

If these domains do not resolve to your server you will have to ask your provider to correct the DNS settings. If your server is the primary DNS for, add an A-Record for pointing to your server IP address.

Yes, if you allow reverse lokkups which are enabled by default.

Yes, i think so. But I dont know the exact syntax. Please have a look at the BIND manual.
