Installation problem on Ubuntu 7.10 desktop edition

    I am trying to install ISPConfig on Ubuntu 7.10 desktop edition.

    Code:

    Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore!

    i have to same problem for me . i have a debian 3.1 sarge

    apt-get install libxml2-dev

    i have question to google , i found this .,i use this... my server maybe started

    I also run into the same error message and what i did is:

    1. make sure that it is pointing to the right shell
    rm -f /bin/sh
    ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh


    2. you need to install this files

    sudo apt-get install libmysql++-dev libmysqlclient15-dev libmysql++2c2a

    hope this helps...

    If you want to install ISPConfig on Ubuntu 7.10, have a look at the installation guide for ISPConfig for Ubuntu 7.10, its all described there:

    http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_server_ubuntu7.10

    It makes no difference if you install it on a desktop or server system, the nescessary pacakges and configurations are the same.

    thank you guys!
    I was too stupid to think about installing php, postfix, apache, mysql manually using terminal :D
