The last line that i get before it dies and then kicks me out of my ssh connection.

    Code:
    /bin/sh /install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/libtool --silent --preserve-dup-deps --mode=compile gcc -Iext/date/lib -Iext/date/ -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/date/ -DPHP_ATOM_INC -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/include -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/main -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17 -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/date/lib -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/mbstring/oniguruma -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/mbstring/libmbfl -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/mbstring/libmbfl/mbfl -I/root/ispconfig/libmcrypt/include -I/usr/include/mysql -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/TSRM -I/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/Zend -I/usr/include -g -O2 -c /install_ispconfig/compile_aps/php-5.2.17/ext/date/lib/parse_date.c -o ext/date/lib/parse_date.lo

Maybe your server has not enough RAM? Do you get any errors in the syslog?

Turns out it was a RAM issue, i added a swap file and its installing past that point now.

For anyone else who had this issue i done the following.

    - Log in as root.
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile1 bs=1024 count=524288
    Code:
    mkswap /swapfile1
    Code:
    swapon /swapfile1
If you want it too work at startup then append /etc/fstab

    Code:
    /swapfile1 swap swap defaults 0 0
