So I have been following this guide, and got to the point of starting up the servers, but when I went to start postfix I discovered that there is no postfix script in /etc/init.d/ I assume this is because the guide has you compile postfix for mysql support instead of using YUM or an RPM.

Im on CentOS 5.2. If anyone has an idea how to generate this script or where it may have put it?

I suggest you install the normal Postfix package using yum and then compile it again as shown in the tutorial.
