    Hi there,

I just realized that Gmail has been silently discarding several of my root emails over the past few days mostly containing stats and log checks and the likes coming from my server.

Basically in my /etc/aliases file most of the system accounts redirect to root and root redirects to my Google Apps email address (ovidiu at pacura dot ru)

Here is an excerpt from my log file:

    Code:
    (1:539)# cat /var/log/mail.log | grep E3E844240CE

And if you visit the link they give: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/175365?hl=en

It says: We recommend that you do not change the envelope sender when forwarding email to Gmail.

    What is happening here?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I thought I was using postsrsd rewriting sender envelopes to fix exactly this problem?

Figured out postsrsd will not kick in since the mail is coming from my server so no rewriting needed.

Very weird is that Gmail is only blocking some of these emails due to their content, i.e. the pflogsumm email gets blocked because it includes the full mail stats including bounced and rejected domains etc while my backup completion notification gets through but my rkhunter report gets blocked.

Anyone else handling these things differently?

Do you think it is due to the fact that Strato assigns all their servers generic hostname like: hxxxxxx.stratoserver.net ?

If I check the reputation of stratoserver.net on senderbase its good: http://www.senderbase.org/lookup/?search_string=stratoserver.net but if you scroll down you see a lot of the server have a bad reputation...
Mine is good but again, it might get tainted by the neighbourhood?
