    Hallo,
In the past I had a maillist called [email protected]
We have removed that maillist and created a forward. The forward is: [email protected]

But now I got a error:
    The mail system

    <[email protected]> (expanded from <[email protected]>):
    unknown user: "iedereen"
other forward and new forward works perfectly... what is wrong?

    Thanks

Check that domain.nl is nots used as hostname of the server and that it is nor listed anywhere in /etc/aliases or /etc/postfix/main.cf

Is the domain listed in /var/lib/mailman/data/aliases file?

  8. ruliezz

    ruliezz Member HowtoForge Supporter

No, I have checked almost everywhere. Any other options?

    Try to run:

    postmap /var/lib/mailman/data/aliases

and then restart postfix. maybe the domain is listed in the hashed version. You should also try to run the command:

    newaliases

to update the aliases DB as well.

postmap was the wrong command indeed, run instead:

    postalias /var/lib/mailman/data/aliases
