    Recently, I noticed that there are files in /var/mail of my server.
    There are 2 kinds of files :
    - non-empty mbox for system accounts (uucp, mail, ...)
    - empty mbox for regular ispconfig email accounts

    In a first time, I thought that was remains of an old configuration and deleted them but they reappeared shortly after...

    So, I found that there was a problem in postfix explaining system accounts mbox in /var/mail. I fixed it. But I noticed another thing: system account are accepted for any domain.
    By example: [email protected], [email protected], ... are accepted for delivery by postfix smtp even if theses email accounts are not created.
    That's the first problem.

    Empty mbox for regular ispconfig email users still reappear in /var/mail and I don't understand why. It seems that emails are correctly deliver in maildir in each user home but I wonder why these files are created.
    That's the second point.

    Have you any idea or explaination of what causes that please?

    Here is my
    smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name (Debian/GNU)
    biff = no
    append_dot_mydomain = no
    smtpd_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${queue_directory}/smtpd_scache
    smtp_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${queue_directory}/smtp_scache
    myhostname =
    alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
    alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases
    myorigin = /etc/mailname
    relayhost =
    mynetworks =
    mailbox_command =
    mailbox_size_limit = 0
    recipient_delimiter = +
    inet_interfaces = all
    inet_protocols = ipv4
    virtual_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtusertable
    mydestination = /etc/postfix/local-host-names
    unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 450
    home_mailbox = Maildir/
    I checked Maildir checkbox in ispconfig admin panel.
