I'm setting up a new server and I have followed the guide perfectly that I can see. I have trouble when I get to the the chroot part, when i do
    ln -s ../.. chroot
    I get ther error
    ln: `chroot/..': cannot overwrite directory

    Any suggestions?

    Did you run this?
    Code:
    cd /var/named/chroot/var/named/
    ln -s ../../ chroot
If yes, then there's a directory called chroot in /var/named/chroot/var/named/.

    Please post the output of
    Code:
    ls -l /var/named/chroot/var/named/

There's already a symlink from chroot to ../../! This means everything is ok, you can forget about the error. :)
