error in mailman setup - perfect sever Ubuntu 11.10 X64

    The following error about says it all - had it working no problems under a x32 setup...

    Errors were encountered while processing:
     mailman
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code 
    any help appreciated

    edit to add - also unable to uninstall mailman to try from scratch

    Please open /var/lib/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py

    and set
    Code:
    DEFAULT_SERVER_LANGUAGE = 'en'
    Restart mailman afterwards.

    OK done as suggested - now when setting new list I get the following:-

    Looks as if mailman isn't fully installed. Please run
    Code:
    apt-get install mailman
    and try again.

    That did the trick

    now back to this thread to see if I can get the links working properly with vhosts:)
