Here is the situation... From my cable provider I have reserved IP, based on MAC address. This is how, I understand, most cable ISP's, provide "static" adresses to who requires it. I do not want to put server, running ISPconfig, behind router/firewall. Doing that, via DHCP, server will always get same public IP address. Does this present a problem for the functionality of ISPconfig? Idealy, I would like to configure/setup server using private IP, some 192.x.x.x address. After all done, plug it in to a switch where cable modem is connected to, and box will pick up reserved adddresss from ISP.
