    Hello HowtoForge,

I am a new student taking Linux + in College and want to install the Ubuntu OS on my second desktop PC, however I have a 120Hz high-refresh rate monitor and would like to know if the Ubuntu OS and all its applications fully support my max refresh rate.

Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

The pertinent question to research is if your graphics card is supported.

Probably fastest way to find out is test it.
Otherwise, see technical information on your GPU, does it support higher refresh rates on which resolutions?

Install intel-gpu-tools , it is available on Ubuntu. Then see what tools that offers to see refresh rate and maybe set it.
