1. Hello folkz,

I am currently running Debian Linux 2.6.26-2-686.

When I attempt to completely remove mysql5.1-server so I can reinstall it I'm getting some strange problems.

    SERVER:/etc# apt-get --purge remove mysql-client-5.1 mysql-server-5.1

The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
    libnet-daemon-perl libhtml-template-perl libdbi-perl libdbd-mysql-perl libplrpc-perl
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
    mysql-client* mysql-client-5.1* mysql-server* mysql-server-5.1*
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 4 to remove and 3 not upgraded.
2 not fully installed or removed.
After this operation, 37.1MB disk space will be freed.

Then I attempt to re-install it--

I noticed /usr/sbin/mysqld does not exist which is Ok since I previously uninstalled it, correct? I'm not sure how to get around this particular problem but any insight would be helpful.

    Thanks!
