I get the following error when trying to assign database to another client. Is it even possible to move the database to another client within ISPConfig?

The database name can not be changed

Changing the client of a database will change the database name prefix and as the database name can not be changed, you can not move a database to a new client as this would cause a change of the database name. You can e.g. export the database content with e.g. phpmyadmin, create a new database for the new client and then import the database content again.

I am new to ISPConfig and am in process of setting up several databases to replicate a setup from elsewhere. (So my existing database names from elsewhere are fixed)
I can see the reasoning and logic for the naming conventions that ISPConfig uses, however, as system admin, I am wondering, is there any way to get around the prepending of customer ID to database names ?
    Anybody have any ideas/comments ?

You can change / remove the prefix for db and db-user and afterwards create the db-user and the db.

Sounds like what I need. Pardon me for being dumb but how would I do that ? Manually in mysql / phpmyadmin ? Or is there a way within ispconfig ?
