    Hi,
after creating an entry for www.mydomain.com, configuring FTP, database for www.mydomain.com in IspConfig, i want to access to the site without writing in the browser www.mydomain.com
www.mydomain.com should point to a generical address(that could be another ip different from my dedicated address), while i would like to access to the testing site using something like IP:MY:DEDICATED/sitename
I need this for testing purposes.
What's the way to do that?

The besat way is to modify the hosts file of your local desktop:

    http://www.faqforge.com/linux/contr...ess-a-namebased-website-without-a-dns-record/

this works on windows, mac and linux.

I've found a better solution, i've created a site in the ispconfig panel with domain = my server ip address
I just have to create a different subdirectory for each site i need to test and then access with http://myip/dirname
