I have recently set up an ISPConfig server following the guide: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-6.4-x86_64-apache2-dovecot-ispconfig-3-p4 I am unable to get amavisd to start, I am getting the following error: /etc/init.d/clamd.amavisd start Starting clamd.amavisd: [FAILED] Is there some setup process missing from the guide which I need to action? Hi Did you followed the guide word-to-word, as the errors show that you missed the dovecot, dovecot-sql.conf. It is a general advice to follow the guide word-to-word Br// Srijan
Thanks, tried that and now I got the following error message when trying to start amavisd: Starting clamd.amavisd: /etc/init.d/functions: line 188: 11200 Killed $cgroup $nice /bin/bash -c "$corelimit >/dev/null 2>&1 ; $*" [FAILED] Any ideas on this one? Thanks
Hi Please follow like this way. If you have already linked the file then you can leave above part. & then Br// Srijan
Do one trick, I am giving you my /etc/init.d/functions file. Make a backup of your original file & replace the file with my file & then try to restart the services. My functions file is Br// Srijan
Sorry false alarm there, it started normally after full system restart. Hello all, I'm having the same problem after updating Debian 7 64bit. /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon start [FAIL] Starting ClamAV daemon: clamd failed! My guess is the update is faulty and not something on our systems.
