I just installed ispconfig 2.2.21 on debian etch 4, and
after installation without any errors i tried to login with
the default username admin and pwd admin it says :
error 101 either username or password is wrong.
Then i stoped it and resatart the ispconfig_server also now i got:
Warning : sql feteshed error in on line 47.
another one (MTA postfix) error :
    bad parameter (MTA_HOSTNAME) in postfix.cnf
What all of this could be ? i didn't get any errors during the
    any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks to you all.:)

What MySQL user name did you specify during the ISPConfig installation? Should be root.

Please check if the ISPConfig database is existing and if there's any data in it.

(SOLVED) Thanks mr/Falko for your great help

    hello mr/Falko
Thanks alot for your help i got it to work finally , so far everything seems OK.
I only have a dumb question: do i still have to make a virtual host file for every site or ispconfig
will take care of that ?
    Thanks again:)

Create your web sites in ISPConfig, and ISPConfig will write all necessary configuration files. :)

    Thanks very much mr/Falko

and thanks again for your great help.
it sounds like the server got working now,
i just have my last questions:
1- is there is any thing to add to the server
to make it more secure ?
2- if fail2ban block one of the sites how can
i take this site ip out of it to make it work
    again ?
    again thanks very much:)

Install something like fail2ban or Denyhosts to prevent brute-force attacks.

I think the IP addresses/hostnames are listed somewhere in some fail2ban file, but I'm not sure which one at the moment.
