I am a newbie, just installed the latest Ubuntu Server files on my Ubuntu Desktop using the "Perfect Setup" instructions, seemed fine, then installed ISPConfig and all seemed fine. But when I try to access the ISPConfig through my Firefox browser with my address (, it cannot load the page. This computer is connected through a router which is being used by several other computers. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you are using windows, add to your hosts file!
The hosts file is in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

You WILL need to use the WAN's ip of the ISPconfig server.
    Lets say it's

The hosts file should look like this:

Make sure you close and open your browser again to make it read the hosts file.

    ** edit **

Just re-reading your message again.. I now see that the problem is on the SAME system as the server.. I have no clue how to fix this, but it might be the same problem.
