    Hi All,

    I found this old thread:
    http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38077

I made a plugin for bind with DLZ to work with my DNS servers as I was converting a live environment to ISPConfig and didn't want to change too much.

Anyway, if anyone else would like to use it or see it make it to the installer/integrated let me know.

It doesn't seem the best route to have two implementations of bind but then again choice is good.

As far as I know, none of the Linux distributions deliver bind-dlz by default. So it does not make much sense to integrate it in the installer. But adding the plugin to the SVN repository will be fine, so it gets delivered together with the ispconfig sources and if someone needs it, he can activate it by adding a symlink in the plugins-enabled directory.

Bind 9.4 and up has DLZ incorporated into the main package. I haven't tried it on debian but it's been added - https://www.isc.org/about/pr/2007032700. Gentoo has a USE flag you can enabled or disable.

I'll add the plugin to SVN.

Ok. I was not aware that they added it in the meantime as they refused to add mysql bindings for many years.
