After running a good ISPconfig3 server on Ubuntu for almost a year now its probably a good time to back it up .
I'm looking to run a utility that we can schedule a bare metal backup of the entire server , very similar to the windows server backup ability . That way in the event of a failiure we can bare metal restore the server or even to another server and get back up and running asap ..
Is there a time where we will see this ability built into ispconfig3 ? , if not , what do you recommend ?
    thanks

There is no full backup utility built into ISPConfig. Basically, you can use any Linux backup tool for this purpose. My servers are all virtualized so I make snapshot backups of the virtual machines and store them on the backup server, so I can't recommend any specific backup software.
