I have observed that the back for website files are not getting created after update to ISPCONFIG 3.0.5.3, but mysql database backups are being created regularly.

I am not sure if there is some problem with my setup or it is related to update. But the problem is observed after update only.

    Thanks.

    I have the same problem.
No backups on any of the nodes.
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/lib/mysql_clientdb.conf seems ok.
    Maybe it's an OpenVZ issue?

Looks like redoing last update with "reset master database permissions" on master node and one other node did the trick.

What exactly does that option do?

It reconfigures the mysql users in the master database to ensure that the slave can write all required data in the master. E.g. if the update added columns in some tables which need to be accessed by a slave server e.g. to write the backup status and you dont run this option on at least one slave, then the function that depends on that table will fail.
