    Hi..
    After few hours of reading forum and tutorials I decide to ask from help..
    I followed tutorial from this site: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/perfect-server-debian-8-jessie-apache-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3/
    I'm using latest ver of ISPConf v3.0.5.4p8 on Debian v8.2 x64
    I build the site and it working OK. But when I login as admin and goes to SITES -> UPDATE PACKAGELIST and select from AVIABLE PACKAGE of any app after ~10-15min of status message: Installation_task it generate me error message Installation_error!
    Same is if I login as user (owner of site) and try to install for example WordPress app.
    This is on psyhical macheine but I try on Virtual box to repeat angain installation and have a same problem.

    Site is generated with next parameters:
    SuEXEC -> ticked
    Own Error-Documents -> ticked
    PHP -> Fast CGI
    PHP Version -> Deafault

    If I install manualy for example WordPress to my site as client I can connect to MySql database and everything working.
    All services running without problem.
    I try to remove manualy over ssh all zip files from /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/web/sites/aps_meta_packages/ and generate again, but without success.
    Can anyone gave me some suggestion what can I do?
    What type of log do I need to read to understand where is the problem?

    There are 2 system logs, what you posted is the Linux system log, not the one from ispconfig. Please check again and post the details that you get in the monitor from other system log.

    Is your job queue empty?
    Please go to
    Server Config and set your Loglevel to debug.
    Repeat the steps to install the App and check back on System-log
    it installed wordpress for me just fine.

    ISPconfig does not use a deamon you can stop/start using init.d. You give jobs using the interface which are then executed by a cronjob.
    To make sure actions won't get executed twice it sets a lockfile to ensure only one instance is running.

    You can temporarily disable this:

    As root do:
    Code:
    crontab -e

    This will open your default editor, if it's nano, you can freely edit text. If it's vim you need to press "i" to insert text, press "ESC" to end insert mode and then press ":" type "wq" and hit enter.

    Comment out the server.sh cron
    Code:
    #* * * * * /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh 2>&1 > /dev/null | while read line; do echo `/bin/date` "$line" >> /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log; done

    Find if there's a cron running
    Code:
    ps aux | grep server.sh

    If you see something like this:
    Code:
    root     19978  0.0  0.0  15112  1368 ?        Ss   02:08   0:00 /bin/sh -c /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh 2>&1 > /dev/null | while read line; do echo `/bin/date` "$line" >> /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log; done
    root     19979  0.0  0.0  15136  1528 ?        S    02:08   0:00 /bin/sh /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh
    root     19980  0.0  0.0  15112   624 ?        S    02:08   0:00 /bin/sh -c /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh 2>&1 > /dev/null | while read line; do echo `/bin/date` "$line" >> /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log; done

    it is still running, maybe stuck at something ( which would be rather interesting )
    you can kill it, in my case it is running using PID 19978, 19979 and 19980
    Code:
    kill 19978

    Make sure there is no process running anymore.

    Check the file /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log for any issues.
    Delete the lock file
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/temp/.ispconfig_lock

    Run the cron from terminal

    Code:
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh

    Do you see any issues here?

    Finally edit the crontab file again and remove the extra "#" to reactivate the cronjob.

    Thanks you for helping me and giving detailed instructions..
    Here is what happening:
    I followed steps you suggest me.
    Disable in user crond both of lines.
    Restarted crond with
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/cron restart
    Found
    Code:
    root     17410  0.0  0.2  13244  2944 ?        S    14:51   0:00 /bin/sh /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh

    line and kill it..
    Check it is it running.
    Then delete
    Code:
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/temp/.ispconfig_lock
    Start again server.sh with command
    Code:
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh
    Now as I start it in that momnet the file .ispconfig_lock appear.
    I try to delete it again but it appear again.
    If I go to ISPConfig -> Sites -> Installed package I still see the apps in queue with status:
    Code:
    Installation_task
    I try to restart whole debian..but this staus message stay.
    Log is totaly same from ISPConfig Log as I sent you in preview message.
    You ask me about Jobqueue log, so he it is:
    Code:

    If you run
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh

    the .lock file is supposed to appear again. The interesting part would be, does running that command give you any kind of output?

    I assume you have ISPConfig set to debug level, still?

    If it does not output anything after a few minutes! it will be a strange issue :/

    Does

    Code:

    apt-get update

    apt-get install -f

    work?

    Indeed, as this would mean that the php installation is broken in a way that the php script dies without being able to output a debug or error message.

    If I run
    Code:
    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh
    in ssh I receive:
    Code:
    [email protected]:~# /usr/local/ispconfig/server/server.sh
    17.03.2016-14:17 - DEBUG - Set Lock: /usr/local/ispconfig/server/temp/.ispconfig_lock
    [email protected]:~#
    I will run update as I came home...

    This looks strange, it just does nothing :(
    What if you isse this SQL-query in your dbispconfig database / what does it tell you?
    Code:
    SELECT s.updated AS datalog_processed_until, MAX(sl.datalog_id) datalog_log_until, MAX(sd.datalog_id) datalog_new_max FROM `server` s, sys_log sl, sys_datalog sd

    Login as root to your database, select dbispconfig database and enter the code.
    Code:
    $: mysql -uroot -p dbispconfig
    mysql> SELECT s.updated AS datalog_processed_until, MAX(sl.datalog_id) datalog_log_until, MAX(sd.datalog_id) datalog_new_max FROM `server` s, sys_log sl, sys_datalog sd;
    +-------------------------+-------------------+-----------------+
    | datalog_processed_until | datalog_log_until | datalog_new_max |
    +-------------------------+-------------------+-----------------+
    |                     154 |               154 |             154 |

    if you don't put "dbispconfig" as last param for the database you need to type
    Code:
    use dbispconfig;

    before entering the query.
    -p is a param which does not take a value if followed by whitespace.
