After making the latest security updates on my Ubuntu 16.04. and php 7.0 I cannot reach one of the sites with this error on the logs:
    [Tue Jun 11 11:18:52.481412 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 4887] [client xxx:64528] AH01079: failed to make connection to backend: httpd-UDS
[Tue Jun 11 11:18:55.143691 2019] [proxy:error] [pid 4887] (111)Connection refused: AH02454: FCGI: attempt to connect to Unix domain socket /var/lib/php7.0-fpm/web3.sock
Furthermore I can connect to server only via rescue mode, normal mode is not possible. Not only this update was done, but on same day, some hours after my provider updated the kernel of my VPS, and after this nothing working anymore. Database crashed (already repaired), ISPCONFIG also reconfigured, site starts with 503 error site.
How can I debug this ?

Is it true that the provider updates kernel? Only updating the kernel package would to my understanding break the system, there are quite a few packages that must be upgraded at the same time.
    Try running
    apt-get dist-upgrade
to make sure all is up to date regarding the new kernel.
If the provider breaks your system, I would ask the provider to help fixing it.
Also: please post logs in CODE tags.

I was fed up with my OVH VPS because of continuous updating problems in the last 3 months. An upgrade is no longer possible and since OVH is not supporting anymore the initial bought version of Unbuntu and their support really one of the bad ever (response time 4-7 days for issued tickets), I have now flattened the VPS and installed Debian 9 (upgraded from 8) with ispconfig 3.1.13. and instead of apache I took nginx. Hope to have at least 2 years peace again.

And yes they did.... In syslogs I've registered a kernel update for their KVM. I was also thinking about to get back to Hetzner or change to contabo or another reasonable VPS provider with good hardware. OVH is not one of the cheapest, has a bad support, the only plus is: hardware and fail-safety is good.
