I don't think it's possible to know this, may be searching the string "dynamic" in the dns of the ip, but it's not always the case
do you have a tutorial for the "perfect setup" on Debian etch for a ISPConfig 3 server ? (for mydns, pureftpd, maildrop, etc.. which are different...

it should be the same, just put "localhost" for both host in imapsync command parameters
may be you could try with this software: imapsync, if you have an IMAP server in both servers.
