How To Migrate From Trac To Redmine
This tutorial describes how to migrate from trac to redmine. Originally written to perform an upgrade from trac 0.10.3 (old etch server) to Redmine 1.0.1 (squeeze) but was successfully tested with trac 0.11 and 0.12, as well as Redmine 1.0.5 and 1.1.2 (1.2 is also working. This version was also tested to produce the upstream patch but not intensively).
Using Google Translate From The Command Line
I have found an article in one of the most famous Linux Arabic forums, it describes how to use Google Translate from the command line. It is a good script but it is needed to write the language pairs every time and I used to make the computers work for me not to work for computers, so I didn't like to do that write every time I want to use the script, usually I translate from English to Arabic, sometimes from Arabic to English and fewer times form some other languages to Arabic or to English if I found the direct translation from that language to Arabic is not clear enough. I have edited the script so now it checks the command arguments number.
Importing iptables Configurations Into Firewall Builder
Firewall Builder is a firewall configuration and management GUI that supports configuring a wide range of firewalls from a single application. Supported firewalls include Linux iptables, BSD pf, Cisco ASA/PIX, Cisco router access lists and many more. Ubuntu 10.10 LAN Torrent Seedbox With Avalanche-rt, Lighttpd, Rtorrent, Vsftpd And Samba
This tutorial is based on a LAN setup, but it should also be applicable for an Internet seedbox (e.g. on a vps or rootds), but some additional steps may need to be performed (firewall, securing rpc-mount, generally hardening of the server). The best lightweight software combination for a seedbox is lighttpd with rtorrent/libtorrent and a nifty web interface. So we use avalanche-rt, an actively developed project which looks very promising.
Send Instant Messages (Notifies) By XMPP (Jabber/Google Talk) From Linux Command Line
sendxmpp is a perl-script to send xmpp (jabber), similar to what mail does for mail. The good news is, instant messaging between the Google Talk servers and its clients uses an open protocol, XMPP, allowing users of other XMPP/Jabber clients to communicate with Google Talk users.
