cant password protect directories

Hello,

I am trying to password protect a directory from tab option web-ftp (navigate to parent folder) click on folder name within the results pannel the button Directory Protection [Edit] but I get the following error:

The following error occurred:




Failed to open /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/temp/hta_6epwGv

any ideas

Looks ok. Which distribution do you use?
Have you tried to restart the server?

after multipul server restarts I still see the same message

Failed to open /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/temp/hta_QCisI2 when i try to protect directories,

I am using the newest version of ispconfig

Which distribution do you use? If it's Fedora or CentOS, did you disable SELinux?

I am using the latest ubuntu distribution.

I do not know what selinux is or if it is applicable for ubuntu it is verion 6 lts

this is a big prob as i am running a shop on my server and the admin is not protected.
is it possible to pw protect with .htaccess?
