Default Change name admin account for more safety

I wonder if I can safely change the name admin into another (more secure)name. Recently I found out that a hacker tried to logging with a brute force attack but with the username admin. Due to denyhosts, I think, he was blocked out after 5 retries, so no harm was done.

There is a name called admin into the ISP config database, but I wondered if anyone tried to change this with good results.

Yes, you can change this name in the database.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.
