Default SuSe on SATA

Hi, I have Seagate SATA 1.0 80GB.
inside I've isntalled Win XP Pro. Now I want to install SuSe 8 but it seems SuSe 8 doesn't recognize my SATA drive.

So, anyone can help solving my problem or does SuSe 10 will solve my problem? thanks a lot.

SuSE 8 is pretty old, so I'd try the newest SuSE version (currently 10.1).
