Sorry forgot 1 more thing.
https://www.domain.tld:81/mailuser or. http://www.domain.tld:81/mailuser
Trying these I get "unable to connect to server". again this was working.
Both domains have email login checked in the basis tab.
I can log in to admin on port 81 though.

Please try http(s)://www.domain.tld:81/mailuser/ (with a trailing slash).
