ISPConfig uses /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow for user auth. Only the controlpanel users are stored in the mysql DB.

UP
I'd like to support this request...
LDAP support would be really appreciated, since I already use it with samba I'd like to see an integration...
Anyway, good job!

Wouldn't system pam LDAP support in the system be OK for what you want to do ?
Just an idea, never tried that

Sure, no problem with Samba users, but ISPConfig creates normal user in the system... I'd like to see it using LDAP as well...
Or am I saying something stupid? I do not know ISPConfig very well, maybe it's already possible to do that?

ISPConfig does not support LDAP users yet.
