Default apt-get update consequences

So what are the potential conequences to ISPConfig of doing updates on a regular interval? Are there any packages I should not update? I would like to keep my system up to date, but I do not want to screw anything up either.

If you running Debian stable (Sarge) and the contents below is in your /etc/apt/sources.list you will not screw your system.

You can do an apt-get update followed by an apt-get upgrade from time to time.

Contents of /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb-src http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/ stable main

deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main

You can update your system as usual because ISPConfig doesn't require any special software components, just the usual packages of your distribution. But to be 100% sure you should back up your system before.
