The setup is compatible with almost every PHP script or application. I've not seen a application that wont work in the past few years.

what gallery you plan on using

We run one here

http://gallery.rockinghamgateway.com/

I've had it running on fedore core, trustix, tinysofa, whitebox, haven't tried it on Debian yet.

works well, we use coppermine gallery, just make sure you have ImageMagick installed as well, install it using the source file.

http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/

http://www.imagemagick.org/script/install-source.php <--- seems to be down right now.

TT
