What do you mean "when i upload, or enter the URL"?

All you need to do is download the new file from Sourceforge (pick a mirror here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/i...r.gz?download), and follow the install instuctions from here: http://www.ispconfig.org/manual_installation.htm

I read between the lines that you update via the update manager within ISPConfig. That is not correct. Follow the instructions that Edge have told you.

The update manager is only for frontend updates, it is not capable of updating the backend and daemons.
