Default dns wild card for sub domain

Hi been trying to get wild card sub domain working for one domain.

Have set dns records thus

Code:
A 	*.domain.com 	102.235.45.21 	0 	86400
	A 	domain.com. 	102.235.45.21 	0 	3600
	A 	mail 	102.235.45.21 	0 	3600
	MX 	domain.com. 	mail.domain.com. 	10 	3600
	NS 	domain.com. 	ns1.domain.net. 	0 	3600
have create entry in

/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/100-domain.com.vhost

Code:
<VirtualHost *:80>
      DocumentRoot /var/www/domain.com/web

    ServerName domain.com
    ServerAlias *.domain.com
    ServerAdmin webmaster@domain.com
This should work, but does not?

Am i missing something?

thanks

Hello

Code:
A 	*.domain.com 	102.235.45.21 	0 	86400
I think you might have missed a "." after domain.com so dns won't respond correctly?

Ok that seems to work for www.domain.com but not for wordpress multiuser using sub domains, may be something else as seem dns is ok now.

Does

Code:
dig sub.domain.com
return an IP address?
