Default Question About OpenVZ


I have installed Virtual multiserver environment from tutorial on



Type: Node
Hardware: Dedicated
Hostname: root.example.tld
Type: Container
Hardware: Virtual
Hostname: web.example.tld
Type: Container
Hardware: Virtual
Hostname: mail.example.tld
Type: Container
Hardware: Virtual
Hardware: Virtual

Hostname: mail1.example.tld ( One extra Mail Server)
Type: Container
Hardware: Virtual
Hostname: ns1.example.tld
Type: Container
Hardware: Virtual
Hostname: ns2.example.tld

All work fine

My question is

Type: Node
Hardware: Dedicated
Hostname: root.example.tld

Does this IP used only for Managing OpenVZ or can I also install this as either Web or mail or Database Server?

The main IP of the host syste can not be used for a container.
