Question Howto upgrade ubuntu from 12.04 to 13.04??

guys,

i have been using ubuntu foraround 8 years, but as a secondary desktop. then i put ubuntu on all but two computers. upgrades were virtually pushbutton. well, until now. last fall i put on 12.04 LTS instead of 12.10 because i Hate messing around with upgrades. this time, like every time, i selected "LTS" in synaptic and everywhere else. but in the weeks since 13.04 was released--or, more to the point--when 13.04 was scheduled to be released, nada. nothing. zip.

do any of you guys who were i'm messing up? { am i being impatient? Or what? FWIW, I do keep my stuff current, so if if there is some "magic incantation", please share! }

thanks in advance,

gary kline
