Default ispconfig on suse 10.1 and fedora core 5

I have two servers configured according to the 'perfect setup' - one is suse 10.1 and the other - fedora core 5. Although the setup is absolutely the same, I note some differences in the operation of the servers.

difference 1 - ftp login
it takes about 10-15 seconds to log in to any ftp account on suse. on fedora it happens immediately. (hardware and internet on both servers are absolutely the same)

question: can I make the suse server accept ftp logins immediately? If nobody knows the answer, please at least tell me if it's the same with everybody on suse or not.

difference 2 - default index page
on fedora it works like a charm. however, on suse no default index page is displayed when new sites are added. I repeat that ispconfig on both servers is configured absolutely the same.

question: what can I do with the suse server to make it display the default index page?

Please please help. Any comments will be highly appreciated.

Might be a firewall issue. Have you compared the outputs of
Code:
iptables -L
on both systems? Did you disable AppArmor on SuSE?

You mean when you create a web site with ISPConfig? Any errors in /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ispconfig.log? What's the output of
Code:
ls -la /root/ispconfig
?
