Default usbip in opensuse 12.3

Can anyone help. I am trying to use usbip on opensuse 12.3 downloaded the program from suse, have the modules working, and usbipd. All I get from the commands is "not right". Have the usb server logged in on eth0 0n 169.254.34.60 the ip address that appears when using it on Windows (has its own program). All the help articles are for use on Debian or Ubuntu and the info does not really relate to what i have on screen. I do the commands exactly as in the man page but still it does not atttach.
Can anyone give me a howto for suse linux even if it is for 12.2 oe even 12.1.
Many thanks
Dorothy hyde.
