Default Web wildcard domain mail.*

Hi

i am using a wildcard web domain for the users to access the webmail of their domain. so for that i have a wildcard vhost in the form of "mail.*". how can i make such an vhost with ispconfig? i only see the possibility of doing a *.example.com wildcard. any idea? thanks

greets
KoS

You can use *.example.com in the dns and use "ServerAlias mail.example2.com" in the Apache Directives for the web-domain running webmail.

thanks for your reply, but please re-read my question, i asked for another wildcard situation.

i have for each cusomter a DNS entry for the mail.<domain> host. and as all customers are using the same webmail instance, i am looking for a way to setup a vhost with ispconfig for that. so i need a vhost that is listening for the "mail.*" host, which i don't see a way to do that with ispconfig?

You have to create a vhost file manually in the sites-enabled folder for this kind of wildcard.
