Logrotate leads to segmentation faults in apache2?
Hi all,
the last 2 weeks one of my servers began to make problems. At 10:30pm apache didn't respond anymore. The first time this happened i did restart apache and all websites where available.
As this happened again and again i had a deeper look into the logfiles. In the apache2 error.log i could see, that at 10:30pm the apache recieved a signal to do a reload. This signal seems to come from logrotate after rotating the apache logs.
Last week at 6 from 7 nights apache ended with the message:
[Sun Feb 17 22:59:31 2013] [notice] child pid 20232 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
The distribution is openSuse 12.2 64 Bit with latest stable ispConfig 3 installed.
What could cause this problem? any Idea what i can do to make sure that apache comes back alive after rotating logs? Maybe this is a timing issue?
Any help appreciated !
Greetings
BoxSon
