Tooltip Help Module

Hi!

I'm thinking of developing a simple "tooltip help module".
It should work like this: Next to certain items in the ISPConfig 3 Interface a questionmark symbol should appear. Upon mouseover a tooltip should pop up, with a help text / explanation.

For example under "Sites -> Websites -> Add new website" there could be questionmarks next to the items "Traffic Quota" and "Harddisk Quota", explaining what this means, and how to set it.

I think this could be useful for unexperienced customers. What i wanted to ask is, if such a module, or a similar module has already been developed by someone? Or if anyone can think of a better way to aid unexperienced users with the settings in ISPconfig.

I think its a great idea. Would have to be a separate theme otherwise any changes you made would be overwritten at the next upgrade if you made the changes to default.

ISPConfig 3.0.5 contains already a tooltip help module, so no need to develop another one. The texts for the fields get currently written.

Where can we find out more info about this? I don't see any tool tips in the websites section when logged in as a user. I have 3.0.5 RC1.

Wow, that's great. I'm glad i asked before i started coding away.

Any predictions as to when this will be available in a stable version of ispconfig?

ISPConfig 3.0.5 final will be released this month.

Currently it is used in the billing module (i.e., in the upcoming version), but the tooltip code is part of ISPConfig itself.
