Question about configuration of mirrored setup

I've been successful in setting up a two server system using rsync and heartbeat.
But there is one thing I'm curious about. In the ispconfig 3 manual, when setting up the mirror is says to NOT set up the web interface.

If I've got a mirrored system, and it fails over because the main server is down, I cannot get into the web interface on the secondary server because I didn't set it up.

Why is this? Can I set it up anyway or will it cause something to not work?

The mirror guide contains instructions to setup the interface on both servers so they can accessed on master and slave. Please see here, its the same guide that is part of the manual as well:
