ispconfig2 new site not added

Hi,
I'm having an issue adding a new site to my ispconfig2 server.
It's running ubu 8.04 lts and is fairly old, but working.

After adding a new site, user and email alias. I don't see any folders created in /var/www nor do i see any changes in the postfix files.

I can see 'something' is inserted and updated in the ispconfig.log. So the db does think there's a new site and user, but the system itself doesn't.
How could i manually add the new site and user?

ls -la /root/ispconfig/

?
