Default Ubuntu 10.0 -ispconfig3 mail Problem

Hi,

I installed ISPconfig3 on an Ubuntu 10.04LTS following the howto. I deinstalled dovecot an did a rconfiguration with the update. But i still enconuter a Probmlem, maybe two, maybe they are connected...

After creating new Mailbox, the Welcome Mail cannot be delivered:
Code:
C4AC01881110 3162 Thu Oct 18 10:18:15 root@myserver.de
(temporary failure. Command output: /usr/bin/maildrop: Unable to open mailbox.)
Tryin to log in to that Mailbox with squirrel mail shows something like the attaced picture.

Trying to log in via Pop3 shows the following:
Code:
 pop3d-ssl: LOGIN, user=user@mydomain.de, ip=[::ffff:217.92.189.19], port=[57466]
Oct 21 19:09:00 titan241 pop3d-ssl: scancur opendir("cur"): No such file or directory
Im totally confused...

Default ... solution part 1

Hi,

i figured, that there was an extra Maildir in the var/vmail/domain/user folder.

i moved the content to the user folder and the mail could be delivered and i could log in with squirrel mail.

But where is the global Problem? Is there an error when creating the mailbox or when writing the Maildir to the database?

I hope someone can help me...

Arne

Default

Dovecot and Courier use different mail folder layouts, so when you switch to a different imap daemon, you have to switch to the correct folder layout as well. See system > server config > mail and ensure to select the correct imap server and lda that match your new installation there.
