just wondering if ISP config will work with my current System Setup
Main Server (web/MySQL/shell only) running Ubuntu 12.04
External Mail server (postfix, dovecot + MySQL backend) running Ubuntu 12.04
2 External DNS Servers (powerdns with MySQL backend) running Ubuntu 12.04

ISPConfig has to be installed on fresh (empty) systems, so you can not install it on your existing servers without reinstall. Beside that, you can setup this server combination with a ispconfig multiserver setup.
wow ok not what I was hoping to hear took me 19 hours to get sasld, dovecot, postfix and pam to all work together and it already has email accounts on it.

If you would have used ispconfig to install the mail server instead of doing it manually, then it would have took you about 15 - 20 minutes as all the configuration is done by the ispconfig installer.
But as you have already mail accounts on the server its too late anyway as you would have to format the server and install it from scratch to use ispconfig.
