Default Amazon ec2 bind dns not working

I followed the directions for a Perfect Server using Ubuntu 12.04 and ISPConfig3 but I am doing all of this on an Amazon ec2 server. I have an elastic IP and have everything installed but dns is not working. I am not sure where to use the elastic ip and I don't know Amazons gateway or dns servers. I set up my site at godaddy to use ns1 and ns2 and they point to the ip of the ec2 server but lookups fail. Any ideas?

thanks

Default

I figured it out. Amazon offers a service called Route 53 for DNS and everything is working well.
